The Circus is here! The amazing "Circus of the Kids" will be at Lakota this summer, and every camper will have a chance to join the circus. The "Circus of the Kids" is one of the standout circus training troupes in the country and "Circus of the Kids" works with children all over the US in schools and camps. We are fortunate to have them with us this summer.
Every camper will have the opportunity to "Join the Circus" this summer and be trained in the specialty they like best. At the end of the week long training our Lakota Circus will put on a spectacular circus show complete with costumes, music, clowns and popcorn. Lakota is proud to be host to "Circus of the Kids."

All New Skateboard Park for Lakota!
As one of our major Capital Improvement Projects, Camp Lakota has hired one of the leaders in Skateboard Parks, the American Ramp Company to design, build and install a professional skateboard park which will be another great addition to our Extreme Activities program. The park will include 2 Quarter Pipes, a Funbox, Wedges, Stairs, Grind Rails, Grind Boxes, Flats and a Skatebench. The park is built from durable high quality materials to provide safe fun for all of our Lakota campers. Everyone is welcome to bring up your favorite board, helmet and pads. See you on the pipe.

Garage Band with Eddie Hager

We are delighted that Eddie Hager, Lakota Legend, former camper and counselor is back at Lakota as director of our music program and Garage Band. Eddie is a New York City school music teacher who is known for his passionate involvement with the award winning "Little Kids Rock" program in NYC. He is looking forward to working with all age groups, teaching guitar, keyboards and a host of other instruments. Our new "Garage Band" equipped with drums, keyboards, electric and acoustic guitars and mics and amps will be a great place to practice what you know or for beginners to learn a new instrument. We encourage all of our campers to bring their favorite instrument to camp.
