There’s only so much a website can tell you. At some point, choosing a sleepaway camp comes down to standing in the bunk, looking at the lake, and getting a feel for the place your child would spend their summer.

Camp Lakota is a co-ed sleepaway camp on Masten Lake in the Catskill Mountains of Wurtsboro, New York, for campers ages 6 to 16. We offer private tours seven days a week, from 8 AM to 4 PM, and we’d be glad to show you around.

What Happens on a Camp Lakota Tour

Tours at Lakota are private and built around your family.

A full facility walkthrough – you’ll see the whole camp, not a selected portion of it.
Activity stops tailored to your child – we’ll spend time at the places they’re most curious about, whether that’s the barn, the waterfront, or the climbing wall.
Bunk previews – you’ll visit the bunks where your child would actually stay.
Event highlights – you’ll hear about our special events and traditions standing in the places where they happen.
Questions, whenever you have them – ask us anything as we walk. Most families arrive with a list, and the questions they came with are rarely the ones they end up caring about most.

Billed separately: airfare, baggage transport for families using the camp trucking service, private lessons, and the 7th–10th grade trips. CIT tuition includes the West Coast Trip, with airfare billed separately. Camp Lakota also offers a 5% sibling discount on tuition for additional children.

Yes, Camp Lakota offers private tours seven days a week at our campus in Wurtsboro, New York. Tours include a full walkthrough of the facilities, a look at the bunks, and activity stops chosen around your child’s interests.

How much does Camp Lakota cost?

Tuition starts at $5,650 and is fully all-inclusive, covering meals, chartered bus transportation, day trips, the canteen shop, specialty activities including horseback riding, waterskiing, and go-karts, laundry service, and all special events. A 5% sibling discount is available for additional children.
