Hello Campers, Parents, and all future Lakota Families. Welcome to Camp Lakota, located just 90 miles from New York City, sits high atop the Wurtsboro Hills in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains. We are situated on 200 of the most beautiful acres of land. Our magnificent Masten Lake with its sandy beaches and diverse waterfront sports along with our extensive activities, has helped make Lakota a family tradition for 100 years.
We offer a full range of land and water sports and a wide range of traditional and specialty activities, including horseback riding on campus, 150 ft zip line, 50 ft climbing wall, low ropes course, and waterskiing all on the grounds. Our beach volleyball courts, basketball courts, hockey rinks, and newly renovated tennis and pickleball courts are all well lit for night activities. Our two terrific heated swimming pools, also with lighting, allow campers to enjoy swimming both day and night. Also adding to our extreme activities is our Skateboard Park.
Our campus radiates out from the original estate mansion that was built in the early 1900’s. We now use this building as our Arts & Crafts center. We also offer a comprehensive Theater and Music program at camp, producing shows and concerts throughout the summer. Camp in the Catskills.
Our bunks are newly renovated, both inside and out. Camp Lakota’s facilities allow room for the growth and development of our campers. Most of our bunks house 8 – 10 children and 3 counselors, which promotes a social environment where making new friends is easy!
