Water Sports at Camp Lakota

At Camp Lakota, water is the heart of our summer. With exclusive access to the sandy beaches of Masten Lake and two heated swimming pools, our campers spend their days cooling off, building confidence, and mastering new skills. Whether they are learning their first swim stroke or getting up on water skis for the first time, our waterfront is where memories are made.

Masten Lake Adventures

Our private waterfront on Masten Lake offers a calm, safe, and exhilarating environment for campers of all ages. Under the supervision of certified boat drivers and lifeguards, campers can choose their own adventure:

  • Water Skiing & Wakeboarding: Professional instruction through private lessons helps beginners stand up and experts catch air.
  • Tubing: A camp favorite! Grab a friend and hold on tight for a thrilling ride across the lake.
  • Boating: Explore the shoreline at your own pace with our fleet of kayaks, canoes, rowboats, and paddleboards.
  • The Aqua Park: Our inflatable water playground features slides, trampolines, and climbing obstacles right on the lake.

Pools & Swim Instruction

Safety is our number one priority. We feature two heated swimming pools that allow for comfortable swimming regardless of the weather.

  • American Red Cross Instruction: Younger campers receive swim instruction tailored to their ability level. Our certified Water Safety Instructors (WSI) focus on stroke development, water safety, and building endurance.
  • Recreational Swim: Free swim periods allow campers to play water volleyball, practice handstands, or just float with friends.
  • Night Swims: On special warm evenings, we turn on the pool lights for an unforgettable “pool party” under the stars.
