How the Baggage Service Works

All bags must be shipped to camp using the camp trucking company Camp Trunk Delivery, which specializes in the delivery and return of camper baggage and trunks. No bags are permitted on the buses, with the exception of carry-on backpacks that campers bring to their seats.

Camp Trunk Delivery can service our campers anywhere in the country. Signing up is simple and can be done on their website. Bags are picked up the Friday before your camper leaves for camp.

Note: Baggage service is billed separately from tuition.

Labeling Your Camper’s Bags

Please make sure every trunk and duffel is clearly labeled with:

  • Your camper’s full name
  • The Camp Lakota name

Clear labeling is what ensures every bag reaches the right bunk. Your child’s belongings will be placed in their bunk before they arrive.

Why Bags Arrive Before Opening Day

We ask that all camper baggage arrives at camp in advance of opening day.

Opening day should be about the campers. We want our entire staff focused on greeting your child and helping them settle in, not sorting through luggage. Shipping bags ahead makes that possible, and it means your camper walks into a bunk and their things are already there.
